Sloane- Gig Poster

Taking on this project to work with Sloane, creating this poster for the upcoming concert at Studio 338, I was able to get this project going for her and do so in a way that conveyed the EDM music that she creates.
Starting out with the sketches, I wanted to see what was I could work with the name. Seeing how I wanted to have Sloane be the highlight and have the name be the main aspect, I drew out as many different ways I could think of that I could get it right.
After performing a lot of research, This came to be my first rendition. Not even close to what I was wanting to finish with. This draft was just to get my ideas out to see what I could work with.
By then going over more renditions and performing more research, these were my next two renditions.
In not liking the feel that I was presenting, I went ahead, got back to the sketching and performed much more research. By this time, I was very lost as to the route that I was going.
In the end, by then performing the research, sketching out new ideas, I was able to get the flow and the rendition that I was able to finalize.
By working with the blend tool and working with color swatches, I was able to get the design that I was going for. I really wanted to incorporate the text a lot better into the photo, so by layering it with the blended designs, I was able to have more texture to the text rather than by having the text simply placed on top of the blended designs.
